I appreciate Alan’s interesting posting.  Several related points:

1. Re: Wheeler-Dewitt.  It is the (alleged) universal wave-function for the entire universe. It is controversial.  But it is true that the equation contains no t and IF the equation were to turn out to be the correct one it is generally regarded to imply a timeless universe.

2. Alan could have made the block world (BW) point more easily, I think, by invoking the much more widely accepted special theory of relativity.

3. The fact is that we don't yet know if it's a BW of some sort.  But if it is that's bad news for every theory that involves the reality of time, which includes every standard account of karmic causation and rebirth.
